Handcrafted, Classic, Sustainable

Dating back to the 1940’s, this Scandinavian chair manufacturer is proud to be a multigenerational family company. Founded during WWII in a time of shortages, the wicker material was chosen because it was a free, natural resource. The popularity of wicker continued to soar after the war, and eventually became the classic favorite that it is today.

Produced with great pride, each chair is handmade with care and passion. The rattan stocks first undergo a multi-step heating and hydration process to increase pliability. Once ready, the rattan stocks are hand bent, one-by-one, around heated metal cast. Finally, the frame is assembled by way of intricate wicker weaving.
